The problem

World of Doors was already a serious local operator: family-owned in New Lenox, serving the Chicago Metro Area, answering 24/7, and backed by hundreds of reviews. The digital problem was that the old web presence did not organize that trust into the way customers search. Emergency repair, new installation, openers, commercial overhead doors, gates, lifestyle screens, and service-area intent were all competing for attention. The site also needed to move beyond a brochure model into something that could answer urgent questions, support AI search, and convert mobile visitors who need a technician now.

Our approach

We rebuilt the site as a high-intent local search machine. The new Astro site leads with the strongest trust signals, routes emergency visitors directly to tap-to-call actions, expands the service architecture across residential and commercial categories, and turns the Chicago Metro footprint into structured service-area pages. We also added quote and estimator paths, live Google review handling, schema, llms.txt, and a machine-readable brand summary so humans, Google, and AI answer engines can understand the business without guessing.

01

Emergency-first conversion architecture

Garage door search is often urgent: a spring snaps, the door will not close, a truck door is stuck, or a homeowner needs a same-day repair. We rebuilt the homepage and service pages around that reality. Tap-to-call appears early, the 24/7 service promise is visible without scrolling, and the request-a-quote path collects the right context without making a visitor hunt through a generic contact page. The result is a site that respects urgency instead of treating every visitor like a low-intent browser.

02

Local SEO structure across services and cities

The new site separates service intent from geography. Garage door repair, installation, openers, maintenance, lifestyle screens, exterior doors, automatic gates, commercial overhead doors, box truck doors, and emergency repair each get their own search-aligned page. Service-area content is generated from structured MDX so World of Doors can compete across New Lenox, Chicago, Naperville, Joliet, Aurora, and the surrounding metro without duplicating one thin location template over and over.

03

Trust signals made visible

The business had the credibility before the rebuild: 800+ Google reviews, BBB A+ positioning, New Lenox roots, trained technicians, premium brands like Clopay and LiftMaster, and real installed-work photography. The new site puts that proof where decisions happen. Review cards, credential badges, local ownership messaging, gallery imagery, transparent pricing language, and no-pressure quote copy all reinforce the same point: this is not a faceless franchise or a risky one-truck operator.

04

AI-readable content and answer-engine readiness

Search is no longer only ten blue links. We added a machine-readable content layer through llms.txt, llms-full.txt, structured schema, and a reusable brand summary that explains services, trust signals, service areas, emergency response, financing, seasonal guidance, and FAQs. That gives AI crawlers and answer engines a clean source of truth instead of forcing them to infer the business from scattered page copy.
